Public Ranges

The Rifle-Pistol range is a public outdoor covered range with shooting distances out to 700 yards on both paper targets and steel gongs. The range is fully equipped with left and right hand benches, spotting scopes, target stands, targets, and eye and ear protection. Unfortunately we do not sell ammunition or rent guns.

Also included for your fun are reactive steel targets for pistol and rimfire calibers (no magnums allowed!)

On the first Saturday of the month is Pop-Gun Night - a night of fun and shooting for kids of all ages (air guns and rimfire only) Popgun night starts at 5 pm. Price is $5 per shooter.

Pricing:  $15 youth/$30 adult per day

The shotgun range is a public venue dedicated to getting new people involved in shotgun shooting sports and keeping long time shooters coming back for more. We offer many programs and events such as a Student Discount Day, a ladies only shooting night, a monthly 5-stand competition, community events, and much more.

We also provide onsite instruction and loaner guns for those without their own - it’s the perfect place for beginners!

The range is also available to private groups of 10 or more people. Call ahead of time to schedule private events. There are several BBQ pits available and seating for large groups. We host birthday parties, bachelor parties, Church groups, fraternities, any many others activities.

Pricing:  Trap/Skeet - $10 youth/$15 adult per round

               5 Stand - $12 youth/$17 adult per round

The Archery range at SLOSA is located at the north end of the public ranges and check-in is done in the Shotgun clubhouse. Only field points are allowed if you bring your own equipment. We do not allow the use of Broadheads unless you bring your own broadhead target. We do not allow the use of Crossbows on any of the range targets. If you use a Crossbow, you must bring your own target.

Prices:  $10/youth and $15/adults.  Equipment rentals are $10

The Archery range has a second location!

There is a 14 target walking course located in the back range on the Black powder range.  It is open tentatively on the 3rd Sunday of each month from 9am to Noon (subject to cancellation due to weather conditions and availability of staff). Cancellations will be posted at the top of this page. The fee is $5 per person. This is a separate charge from the front archery range and does not cover use of the front range.
